This is a very useful book for beginners in strength training. The book is written by Mark Rippetoe & Lon Kilgore. This book explains a lot on muscle gain principles. The authors explain with perspective of barbell training mostly. There are very few exercise techniques or illustrations. Its a good book if you are looking for discussion on strength training, not a good how-to-do-it book.
