Book Review: Seven Days In The Art World

“Seven Days In The Art World” has been written by Sarah Thornton. She has presented the various aspects in the contemporary art scene, the events that contribute to the making of today’s contemporary artists. She has formed a structure of how the modern art world is and she reveals to us that structure  through description of the events and interviews of the people who contribute to the structure. These people include artists, dealers, auction house staff, gallery owners, buyers and many other players in the game. This was a very revealing book for me in understanding the modern art scene. It was easy to read and I could finish the book quiet quickly. There is very little to reflect upon, its more like a report of incidents.

Rating: 3.5/5. It was enjoyable book, with a simple language and good interviews. There is not much to remember about this book except the structure she presents.
