Book Review : Creating Capabilities

“Creating Capabilities: The Human Development Approach” is  written by Martha C. Nussbaum. I have listened to the audio version of the book. This topic is something of a new to me. It is mainly concerning subject of humanity and economics. She discusses on the topics of constitution, laws, social equality, human rights, gender equality. Her main concern is with people belonging to the undeveloped and developing economies where people are driven by many social and political stigmas. Through the book she tries to distinguish her approach to developing human capabilities to that of Amartya Sen. In the end she feels the developed nation should support the cause of developing capabilities of less privileged economies.

Rating: 3/5. The perspective of the book seems really good. But the presentation does not stir the soul, not for first time readers to this subject.
